[00:00:00] Speaker A: All right, guys, welcome back to the Drone On Show. I'm Mike, and today's guest is my daughter Viviana, as well as Karen behind the controls, trying to produce or we're just gonna send it. We're. We're in the. The shop here. We just got done working out, and Viviana's been on me for a while to do a podcast, so here we are. Viviana, welcome to the podcast.
[00:00:26] Speaker B: I can't wait to do it again. Well, I never did it, and I don't know how to do this yet.
[00:00:33] Speaker A: Yeah, well, we're just gonna roll with it. You gotta remember that we're gonna have to speak English because most of the people listening probably don't know how to speak Dutch.
[00:00:45] Speaker B: I don't know.
[00:00:46] Speaker A: Yeah.
Also remember to talk into the microphone if you want to say something. So what are you excited about to be on the podcast?
[00:00:55] Speaker B: I'm excited because I get to do it my first time in my life, and I never did it. And I just keep saying, daddy, daddy, we need to do a podcast. I was like, come on.
And then one day it just showed up and. Yeah, it's really fun.
[00:01:16] Speaker A: So you're doing a podcast. You got cowgirl boots on.
[00:01:19] Speaker B: Yep.
[00:01:20] Speaker A: Are you, like, a little cowgirl?
[00:01:22] Speaker B: Well, I want to ride Misty.
[00:01:26] Speaker A: And Who's Misty?
[00:01:28] Speaker B: My pony.
[00:01:29] Speaker C: She.
[00:01:30] Speaker B: I don't know how old she is.
[00:01:31] Speaker A: I don't know how old she is either, but she's. She's losing weight now because she was super fat and her feet were messed up and. But she's on grass hay now, learning stuff about horses. I'm not a big horse guy myself, but since Viviana wanted a pony, that's what we got her. So now we're learning.
[00:01:51] Speaker B: Today we're gonna talk about New ag. That's what.
[00:01:54] Speaker A: Oh. Today we're gonna talk about Nueg. Okay. What do you know about Nue Ag? What do we do?
[00:02:00] Speaker B: I know about spray drones. You fill up the tanks, and I know that you take off and standing back without getting hurt.
[00:02:10] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. That's important part.
When you're using spray drones. Yeah.
[00:02:14] Speaker B: Yep. And you, like, spray the.
Like, the fields with chemical and. Yeah, yeah, that's what I know.
[00:02:23] Speaker A: Yep.
You've gone with me before to do spray jobs. Yep.
[00:02:28] Speaker B: Sometimes.
[00:02:29] Speaker A: Yep. You're. You're always asking me if you can go with me either doing thermal recovery stuff or spraying. Sometimes you can, sometimes you can't. But, well.
[00:02:39] Speaker B: Well, my favorite part is about going with you to, like, finding deer and stuff like that. Why do you like spray Drones so much.
[00:02:49] Speaker A: Why do I like spray drones? Oh, okay, so this. Are you interviewing me now?
Okay, okay, so you're interviewing me. Why do I like spray drones so much? I just think that it's a cost effective way to get your crops sprayed. Yeah. So one makes it easier.
You can go spray your crops when you want so you don't have to worry about the ground being too wet.
And it just does a really, really good job.
[00:03:13] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:03:14] Speaker A: You can see that picture back there. That's a T100. I'm absolutely laying it down. Like, who would have ever thought that drones can spray crops this well? I just never thought they could.
[00:03:24] Speaker B: Well, yeah, and did you know one other spray drone that can lift you up with a harness and what.
[00:03:33] Speaker A: Yeah, there's a spray drone that can lift you.
[00:03:37] Speaker B: Remember at the booth, it had a, like, orange string?
Huh? That one.
[00:03:44] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. You're Talking about the T100 has a lifting chassis that you can put a. Put it on and then you can lift things.
[00:03:51] Speaker B: Yeah. Like probably you or Mom.
[00:03:55] Speaker A: Oh, it could probably lift me.
Why are you laughing, Karen?
[00:03:59] Speaker C: It's just funny because it's like a toy. It's like a toy to them. And so they just look at it like, oh, it can lift me and take me around. Well, you gotta go tell the FAA that you shouldn't. They should let you.
Let you have a drone lift you and take you places.
[00:04:18] Speaker B: I don't want to go on a rocket. It's too dangerous.
[00:04:21] Speaker A: No, it's not a rocket.
[00:04:21] Speaker C: Not a rocket.
[00:04:22] Speaker A: But the drone.
[00:04:23] Speaker B: No, I want to go on a rocket someday so I can see the whole world.
[00:04:28] Speaker A: Oh, okay. Do you think the. The world is flat or do you think it's round?
[00:04:33] Speaker B: I guess my. I think it's flat. You think it's flat or it's circle.
[00:04:40] Speaker A: It's a circle.
[00:04:40] Speaker B: Like, kind of like in a circle. Like that.
[00:04:44] Speaker A: Kind of like the lights. Yeah.
[00:04:45] Speaker B: Yeah.
So why. Why do you like answering calls when you need to go find, like, deers?
[00:04:54] Speaker A: Why do I like answering the calls when I. When I gotta go find deers? Yeah, like, because I like helping people find their deers if they can't find them.
[00:05:04] Speaker B: But what if you're not, like, what if you're busy? You can't answer the call?
[00:05:11] Speaker A: Well, that's. That's probably a little bit of my issue is I usually pick up the phone all the time. It's good that mom doesn't like that all the time.
[00:05:20] Speaker B: It's good.
It's good that you pick up.
It's good that you pick up the phone so you can just get you on and go out there and find that. And then sometimes my dad forgets less than my dad forgets to bring me one on. Dad.
[00:05:40] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:05:41] Speaker B: And it was so funny.
[00:05:42] Speaker A: And then you're talking about the time I told you if I get a recovery, then you could go with. And then I was already on the way and the mom called me and she's like, hey, you told Viviana you would take her if you got a recovery.
[00:05:53] Speaker B: And you almost forgot that he had to turn away and then he had. Yeah, and then you had to come to our house to pick me up
[00:06:01] Speaker A: and then go there. How old are you?
[00:06:04] Speaker B: You know, I am five.
[00:06:05] Speaker A: You're five years old.
You are by far the youngest person that I've ever had on the podcast.
[00:06:14] Speaker B: Oh, Daddy, you're funny.
[00:06:16] Speaker A: Why is that? I'm just saying you're the youngest one. So where do you go to school?
[00:06:21] Speaker B: Well, actually, I don't go to school. I'm homeschooled and I already do. What kind of mom?
[00:06:28] Speaker C: Kindergarten.
[00:06:29] Speaker B: Kindergarten. And I like doing my school stuff at home, and it's easier than going on a school bus station. Your other class. That's my favorite part. And, like, learning words and learning how to write and learning how to, like, read and. Yeah, that's my favorite part. And I just don't know why I like school.
[00:06:52] Speaker C: And do you remember your poem that you memorized?
[00:06:56] Speaker B: Yeah. The sun shones on my toes and on my face and on my nose. It kisses the top of all the trees. Each blade of grass each. Each brushing b. I'm so glad that God above me warm say light for me.
[00:07:10] Speaker C: Got it.
[00:07:11] Speaker A: Wow.
[00:07:12] Speaker B: So, yeah, we also learned that. And I don't know why I dislike horses and podcasts and school so much.
[00:07:20] Speaker A: It's just you're growing up fast. You're. You're five.
[00:07:24] Speaker B: I can't wait to, like, get to learn things and learn how to read and write the numbers.
[00:07:32] Speaker A: I should. I wonder if we could pull up any. Well, we probably can't do it on the podcast, but, like, looking back, trying to find the first video where Viviana was in one of the YouTube videos.
Because she would have been one. Yeah. Because it started in 2022 and she was born in 23.
[00:07:56] Speaker C: She would have been two.
She was born in 2020.
[00:07:59] Speaker A: Oh, she was too. Okay. Yeah. But the first YouTube video that went up was October 9th of 2022.
[00:08:09] Speaker B: Daddy, do you know that I like to, like, learn my schoolworks and. Yeah, I Know that I can learn everything, but I just can't wait to, like, learn about how to take care of big horses too.
And I feel like I have fun, but I still miss my big old house.
[00:08:38] Speaker A: Big old house?
[00:08:39] Speaker B: Yes. Remember the last time we lived at our old house?
[00:08:44] Speaker A: Yeah, but it wasn't that big with June and May. Yep.
Yeah. The puppies can't.
[00:08:51] Speaker B: I can't stop thinking about it.
[00:08:54] Speaker A: Viviana, what do you know about spray drones?
[00:08:57] Speaker B: What do I know about spray drones? I know that you, like, fill up the tanks and you spread the cups.
[00:09:05] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:09:06] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:09:06] Speaker A: So that's about as much. What do you know about thermal drones? The drones that are used to find people's deer?
[00:09:12] Speaker B: Yeah, right there.
[00:09:14] Speaker A: Where? Oh, yeah, right here. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:09:17] Speaker B: Well, what I know about that, they find deer and.
[00:09:21] Speaker A: But how do you know how it works?
[00:09:24] Speaker B: Because, like, I went many times.
[00:09:27] Speaker A: Well, try to explain to them how it works. So how do I find a deer? Like, is it a thermal camera and then it doesn't look different?
[00:09:35] Speaker B: Well, my dad finds it with a thermal drone and then I gotta hit
[00:09:42] Speaker A: it with a zoom. Remember that?
[00:09:43] Speaker B: Yep. And then he puts his spotlight on it and then we go and find it and then. Yeah, that's all I know.
[00:09:52] Speaker C: What's your favorite part of a recovery? Viviana?
[00:09:56] Speaker B: 1 My favorite part is, is it finds deer.
[00:10:00] Speaker C: You find the deer.
[00:10:01] Speaker A: Finding the deer.
[00:10:02] Speaker C: You always like when there's other little kids, don't you?
[00:10:05] Speaker B: Sometimes, yeah.
[00:10:06] Speaker C: Are you gonna fly the big spray drones?
[00:10:09] Speaker B: I hope someday. Someday, maybe. Maybe when I'm 10.
[00:10:13] Speaker A: Oh, 10? Oh, you don't have to be 10.
[00:10:15] Speaker C: You can fly them when you're younger. Are you gonna fly the thermal drones to find deer?
[00:10:21] Speaker B: Well, I know my dad crashed a drone.
[00:10:28] Speaker A: Not the thermal drone.
[00:10:30] Speaker B: No.
[00:10:32] Speaker A: Yeah, sometimes you just gotta get work done and you shut the radar off and then you smack trees, so. Well, it was worth it for me to try to go faster and try to get the job done.
[00:10:42] Speaker B: Yeah. So, Daddy, why do you like doing podcasts?
[00:10:47] Speaker A: Sometimes I like doing podcasts because it's educational so people tune into it. Like they might be listening right now while on the road or working and they're thinking about maybe a new business or they just want to learn about the latest tech and they. They listen to it. So why do I like doing it? Because I like educating people on maybe a new business or. Yeah, just how this tech can help people and potentially change their lives. Because it is crazy how many people have actually started a thermal drone business as well as a spray drone business. And it truly has changed how they do life. So that's why I like doing podcasts.
[00:11:30] Speaker B: I think I have a lot of money because I have worked too.
[00:11:35] Speaker A: And you have a lot of money?
[00:11:37] Speaker B: Well, a lot.
[00:11:39] Speaker A: How much? How much is how much?
[00:11:41] Speaker B: I didn't count it all, but where is it? It's over there in my house.
And it's a piggy. Well, not a piggy bank. It's a lambie bank.
[00:11:52] Speaker A: Oh, it's a lambie bank.
[00:11:54] Speaker B: I call it because it's. It's a lamb.
[00:11:57] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:11:57] Speaker B: And.
[00:11:58] Speaker A: Oh, so if it's a pig, then it's a piggy bank, but yours is a lamby bank.
[00:12:03] Speaker B: And when it's a horse, it calls a horse bank.
[00:12:06] Speaker A: Oh, yes.
[00:12:07] Speaker B: Yep.
[00:12:08] Speaker A: And I can see why it's called a horse bank.
[00:12:12] Speaker B: Well, it's not a horse bank. It calls a shippy bank.
[00:12:16] Speaker A: Yeah, a shippy bank.
[00:12:17] Speaker C: What are you saving your money for, Viviana?
[00:12:19] Speaker B: What I'm saving my money for?
Well, I'm trying to not forget that
[00:12:24] Speaker A: I want to take for guess means forget.
It's all right.
[00:12:28] Speaker B: I don't want to forget that. I need sometimes to take my money with so I can buy ice cream for my family.
[00:12:36] Speaker A: Aw, that is cool. So you want to buy us ice cream?
[00:12:40] Speaker B: Yes. And I just like, feel in my heart I just got to do everything and obey my parents and when they, like when I asked them to, oh, maybe you want to go with me to like, get ice cream. And I would take my dollar in my pocket and then I would give it and I just like, yeah, I just gotta obey them.
[00:13:03] Speaker A: That's good. Viviana, can you tell the listeners or the viewers that are watching this what some of the hardest things are for you when your dad works a lot?
[00:13:16] Speaker B: Well, hardest for me that my dad has to go to work and then I have to play with my brother. And then sometimes I asked my nana to read a book when daddy's gone because. And then sometimes my nana asked me that I'm a great massager and I just gotta every time give them a massage and like, okay, just one time. And I just want to wait for daddy so we can play sometimes games and like, well, I can't wait for it to be warm so we can go outside and just tiger it.
[00:13:55] Speaker A: You like playing tag?
It's like that's the first thing you want to do when I come home is let's play tag. And so then we gotta play tag. And then right after tag, let's play hide. Hide and seek. And then we gotta Play hide and seek.
Yeah.
[00:14:09] Speaker B: And yeah, like, yeah, sometimes I'm funny. My dad sometimes calls me a goober, which I don't always know what. He always tells me that I'm a goober. And yeah, it's really fun when my dad comes home at work. And. Yeah.
[00:14:28] Speaker A: Are you a chatter? Like, do you like chatting?
[00:14:30] Speaker B: What do you mean chatting?
[00:14:32] Speaker A: Chatting, like what you're doing right now. You're just chatting away, like, telling us all about how things are.
[00:14:38] Speaker C: You like chatting, like, talking to people?
[00:14:41] Speaker B: Yeah. It's the first time ever, I ever did this.
[00:14:44] Speaker A: Yeah, I know.
But that's all right.
[00:14:46] Speaker C: We're just trying to get to know you because we know you, but everybody listen doesn't know you.
[00:14:52] Speaker B: My family, well, they love me and they know me and I just like horses. And I also like ice cream.
[00:15:01] Speaker A: Yeah. Hey, can you tell us what you want to be when you grow up?
[00:15:06] Speaker B: What I want to be is a cowgirl and a police.
[00:15:12] Speaker C: Wow.
[00:15:14] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:15:16] Speaker C: Why would you want to be a police officer?
[00:15:18] Speaker B: And I want to be. Oh, I want to be a treasure hunter.
[00:15:24] Speaker A: I know why.
Did you watch Zootopia?
[00:15:29] Speaker B: Oops. I did.
[00:15:31] Speaker C: Judy.
[00:15:32] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
[00:15:33] Speaker C: Judy the bunny was a police officer.
[00:15:37] Speaker A: Dude, I think every child at her age wants to either be a police officer. Fire. Fireman.
What was the other teacher?
[00:15:47] Speaker C: I would say a police officer, firefighter, or some kind of superhero.
[00:15:51] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:15:52] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:15:52] Speaker B: I feel like I want to be something else and.
[00:15:56] Speaker A: Oh, you want to be something.
[00:15:57] Speaker B: I like watching Zootopia. It's like a fox named Nick.
[00:16:03] Speaker A: I was sly fox.
[00:16:07] Speaker B: So when I was sleeping, I. I saw the dream and I was like dreaming about it and I was like, oh, come on, Daddy. Today we need to do that podcast. Yeah, I almost forgot.
[00:16:25] Speaker A: What do you think Kieran is our little offspring sitting next to us just chatting away at 5 years old on a PODC podcast with us that we're producing. I have to think back when, before drone deer recovery started. Do you remember I talked about, like, I'd like to have my own podcast where I would talk to local business owners in this area just to get wisdom, because of how many successful businesses are in our area. And now here we are producing our own podcast with our own 5 year old next to us.
[00:17:02] Speaker B: Well, Daddy, just crazy.
[00:17:03] Speaker C: It is crazy.
[00:17:04] Speaker B: I can tell you.
Like, I know. I just like the number Zoo Topia number two.
[00:17:12] Speaker A: And I thought number two was a little lame.
[00:17:15] Speaker C: First one's better.
[00:17:16] Speaker A: Yeah, first one's better. I know, but if you guys are listening, I don't really think that number Two. Is that good? So, yeah, I like.
[00:17:25] Speaker B: Well, I can't wait spring or summer so I can help my mom like cook and do the garden. Garden stuff.
[00:17:32] Speaker A: Oh, the garden. Yeah, Yeah.
[00:17:34] Speaker B: I just want to pick like clip, clip, clip all those. All those flowers and I'm make a bouquet and I hide it behind my back and then I'll give you two bouquets and we're just like, okay. My heart is way beating faster than
[00:17:50] Speaker A: I used to be. So sometimes you get to go to main headquarters where all the drones are stored and the shipping is happening and the service is happening and sh. Shipping out.
What do you think of headquarters?
[00:18:04] Speaker B: Like, well, the best part is about Sydney.
[00:18:07] Speaker A: Oh, Sydney. Okay, shout out Sydney.
[00:18:10] Speaker B: I like Sydney.
[00:18:12] Speaker A: Sydney is head of. Is she head of customer service? She does so many things.
[00:18:17] Speaker C: She does a lot. She does a lot with sales and making sure our website functions properly and
[00:18:24] Speaker A: she would products get launched. Sales director, assistant. Yeah, yeah, she does a lot.
[00:18:29] Speaker C: She does.
[00:18:30] Speaker A: So why do you like Sydney?
[00:18:32] Speaker B: I like Sydney too. And I like doing ballerina stuff.
[00:18:36] Speaker A: Oh, okay. Yeah.
[00:18:37] Speaker B: Yes, I like doing that. But I wish it could still be on the days, even winter.
Like I wish I could go at my ballerina and I just want to listen off to my teacher. And then once I come out of that class and then sometimes when my mom comes home at work, then my mom asked if I wanted, well, let's go to school lesson. I'm like, okay. And then I was like, school lessons are my best.
And I just. I just want to know how to read.
[00:19:17] Speaker A: Yeah, well, you're going to learn how to read one day before, before we go, what if somebody wants to start their own drone business? Like let's say they want to get a thermal drone or they want to get in a spray drone.
[00:19:30] Speaker B: Let's say I'm like order and you're would be like seven.
And then you would ask me if I would can give you a drone and then I would give you a drone and then you would wreck it and then like you would came back for another one and then you just know how to fly. It's so cool that you know how to fly. So like you crash it, then you get another one.
[00:19:57] Speaker C: Do they. Where do they take the drone if they. If they crash it?
[00:20:01] Speaker B: Where they take the drone?
[00:20:03] Speaker A: I don't think it's. I don't think you crash that easily. Like, you have to be little. Like most drones crash out of pilot complacency. It's not, it's not. They don't just want to Run into trees.
[00:20:16] Speaker B: I love my daddy. I love my mom too.
[00:20:19] Speaker A: Thank you.
[00:20:19] Speaker B: And I love my brother Jacoby. He's one years old. He, he can walk like he says, dada, Mama. Well, he calls my dad Mike and he calls me Anna and well, he can't say Viviana yet, but he calls me Anna, so that's alright with my name. And I like my nana when she watches me.
It's so fun just seeing her.
Sometimes she works and I ask her a question, then she says like something like, I need to go play with my brother. And sometimes.
So Lena, I wonder how many people
[00:21:08] Speaker A: are going to listen to this because it's like we're all over the place.
Yeah. So I don't know this for the first podcast. This was pretty, pretty long podcast, but
[00:21:19] Speaker C: this is pretty cool. Viviana, you got to think about it from mom and dad's side because we now get to see you at 5 years old sit on a podcast that dad talked about a lot of years ago.
[00:21:32] Speaker A: And then maybe one day when you're like 13, 14, 16, 21, we can listen back to this podcast when you were five and you were just chatting on about all the things that you like and want to keep doing. But. And I think you should just give us one more cool thing and then we should wrap up the podcast for today.
[00:21:55] Speaker C: What is, what is next?
[00:21:57] Speaker B: What we're next doing is who are we celebrating today?
[00:22:01] Speaker C: Whose birthday are we celebrating today? Remember we're going to go eat yummy food and birthday cake.
[00:22:07] Speaker B: Celebrating my nana's birthday party today and yesterday was her birthday.
[00:22:14] Speaker A: Well, it's going to be. All of her children are coming and then we're going to do that and we'll just chill because today is Saturday and yeah, so Jacoby's probably awake by now.
Did a little 20 minute podcast I think is what we've been on.
[00:22:30] Speaker B: Look, I made a heart.
[00:22:31] Speaker A: Yep, you made a heart. All right, guys, I thought it'd be kind of cool to let Viviana come on and share.
[00:22:37] Speaker B: I have one more thing.
[00:22:38] Speaker A: Oh, share who she is and some of the things that she's excited about.
And I think that's all we got.
[00:22:46] Speaker B: What else we're doing after my Nia's birthday party?
I think probably going taking a nap.
[00:22:53] Speaker A: Okay. Yep, maybe we'll go take a nap.
[00:22:55] Speaker B: So yeah, have fun and tell them
[00:22:59] Speaker A: thanks for, tell them to thank you for joining in and listening.
[00:23:04] Speaker B: Thank you for joining in, listening. Have fun on this podcast and watching and see you on the next one.
[00:23:12] Speaker A: Yes, we'll see you on the next one.
